Let's talk about bananazzz 香蕉人

Disclaimer: You do not need to agree with my theories and I would welcome (and feel honoured) if you would like to debunk all my ideas. I got inspired my a friend, which I call him the "Absolute Banana". This idea will be discussed further in the article. :)

Definition of Banana
Banana, in general is a fruit, the yellow slimy fruit we see in tropical countries. *side track: just if you don't know, 7-eleven sells his super quality Dole Banana for RM1. It's really good fruit! :D Buy one and stay healthy peeps!* However, the banana that I'm trying to talk about is those Chinese that don't know how to speak their mother tongue. Why they're called banana? Very simple! Banana is yellow in the outside but white in the inside, just like them where they looks Chinese with their yellow skin but they talk like a white. :)

Categories of Banana people:

1. Absolute Banana
Absolute bananas are those which couldn't speak and listen to any Mandarin and dialects at all. Other than "Wo Ai Ni" [I Love You] and "Wo bu zhi dao" [I don't know], they basically knows nothing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! They don't watch any TVB dramas or know anything about Chinese culture. Most of the time, their parents are bananas themselves too, but most probably does not include in this category. Absolute bananas can be seen as knowing nothing about being a Chinese. There are a White-man living in a Yellow-man's body.

2. Normal Banana
Normal bananas are those that know a bit of everything. They may know how to listen to some Mandarin or any dialects. Most of these bananas went to Kebangsaan schools. So, they only know English and BM. Grandparents might only speak in dialects and aunties will be talking in dialects during family gathering such as Chinese New Year. So, throughout the years, they get a hint of what people are trying to mean out of their talking in Mandarin or dialects. Most of the bananas are in this category (I hope), so they're normal bananas.

3. Half Banana
Half bananas are those who speaks a bit of Mandarin or a bit of dialects (to some extent, fluent enough to make a conversation). Some of this type of bananas are unfortunate to get a Chinese education but still was able to learn some mother tongue throughout the years. They may not be as fluent as those learnt it properly, but they know a bit more than the other 2 categories of bananas. *applause*

So friend,
which category you belong to? I hope I didn't insult anybody. This distinction is just an analysis of mine. Some might ask, why we need Chinese when English is the international language? Yup, I agree with you that English is the most commonly spoken language. Nevertheless, I am proud to be a Chinese that speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka. I can say I'm proud to be a Chinese. I'm not saying being a banana is a sin or something, I'm just trying to define how westernised some of the Chinese are today.

That tonight is a good night with great people :D

Went dinner with 4 awesome people today. Just a random dinner, like I told Miss. E. Chin, 'just do dinner for the sake of dinner'. It turned out greater than I thought it'll be, as we all shared our dreams and thoughts about life with each other.

Just to start off, I must say the place E.Chin recommended was just such a cozy and lovely place to be. The food was good and the price was even better. I just felt in love with the place with it's romantic jazz music and the ikea-like lighting. XD

Roast Beef Sandwhich - RM 7.50. Hot Mocha - RM 7.50
Total Bill = RM 15 nett
Food quality: Good. :D

Anyway, what really made my night was really the accompany of my beloved friends. We was technically there to celebrate 2 of my friend's birthday, with didn't really celebrated as in cut cake or giving present, but was really just to spent some quality time together with each other.

After dinner, the conversation somehow turned into a sharing session about our life and dreams. I didn't really know what exactly my dream is, until I truly needed to figure out an answer. Now, if you ask me to repeat what I've shared, I might not be able to tell you as good as what I did, but I still know one fact very well, I want to be successful in life, like really successful.

What is success to me? It need not be as rich as a women owning a Lamborghini, driving it down the city or having a mansion. I would consider myself being successful, if I can truly live a life that can impact others, giving back to society, that have been giving me so much all these years. I must say I haven't lose all my hope in my country, Malaysia. For the fact that I'm still acknowledging Malaysia is my country shows that I still love this country, right? As a Malaysian, I'm sure everyone of us is disappointed by certain things- the politics, the racial tension, the nation development, etc, etc...... Nevertheless, it's such a beautiful country, isn't it, my friend? The people are just so lovely and kind. The food just so beautiful that you'll miss it after 2 weeks away from it. So going back to my point of giving back to society, yes, I haven't give up all my hope in this country and I have so much that I can give back to the society. Will I be able to give all out and do it? I don't know. I really rest my life upon God's hand and truly believe that one day, I'll learn what my calling truly is. Till then, I'll just learn every single lesson from the people I met everyday.

What was amazing about tonight was the pleasure to listen to other people's dream in life. I shall not share it here but it's been thought provoking for me, for me to ponder upon what's life all about and what I REALLY want to do in life, my life. For once, you really need to put your self on the centre spot light and think, what role you want to play in society? Like William Shakespeare said, everyone is a role in a play as life is just like a play. (sorry, don't quote me for this, that's all I remember from the very lovely poem that I can't even remember the name now.... literature class? epic fail!)

There goes some pictures of those awesome people! XD

O, btw, Mr. J and Miss M, I'm still so amazed that you both can blog so frequent and blog so well! *thumbs up* I always end up losing my thoughts and emo-ness half way through my post! :s That explains why I rarely blogs.... haha....

需要人陪

我,天生怕孤独,又有谁知道呢?
